I have a 74SE with white interior and bucket seats. Legendary auto interiors on line catalog says they have the door panels, upper and lower. Anyone ever bought these products and if so are they a quality product ? #Thinking# #Thinking# #Thinking#
Mine are discolored and flaking in many places any guidance in my quest for good white door panels would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guy's ;D ;D

Legendary interiors carries the best stuff on the market. It is definitely a quality product. However...shouldn't this be in the interiors section

Legendary products are good BUT they do not necessarily manufacture everything that they sell. I am 99.9% sure that the lower plastic panels they sell are the same *poop* sold by everyone else, manufactured by accuform? plastics. I bought the lower panels a couple years ago and did not care for them at all. My biggest issue with them was that the grain texture was NOT EVEN CLOSE to original. I re-sold them at a loss and bought nice used. Of course, finding nice used in white is hard. As you probably know only too well, most white plastic panels discolor and get chaulky.

I'm still trying to catch a good set too, let's say... 3 years ?... specially bucket backs and rear lowers ( last ones not reproed yet )... also pillars got good bucket backs BUT THEY WEREN'T REALLY WHITE... MORE LIKE TAN ... pics did look white ( unless seller cheat me and didn't send the pictured ones ) months later discovered a car he is selling with OOOOOOHHH, WHITE INTERIOR CAR!!! BTW, the car is a nice dark blue 72SE with white or tan interior, being sold on DC.com

Would getting black interior plastic trim be the way to go? Since the white discolors and flakes. Never herd of accuform I gather not much on quality. Are there any good reproduction plastic parts to be had in the market at all if so who? I at least have a complete interior, I just want to have better. I have a 74SE brougham. Can anyone tell me what makes it a brougham Thanks for the help ;D

I am fairly sure that accuform does all of the available reproduction plastics that are available for our cars. They just make the stuff..all the different vendors get it from them. I bought the front lower door panels and was disappointed....then a few years later bought bucket seat seat backs and was disappointed. One thing is for sure...I wont buy anymore repro interior plastic unless I can see it in person first and verify that the grain texture is correct. If I had to do something in white, I`d probably find the best condition original panels that I could and use a plastic primer/paint system to re-color them. Or if you are not a "purist" and don't care about the grain texture....just buy a complete interior of the repro plastic. (lower panels, kick panels, a pillar trim, seat backs) At least all your plastic would have matching but incorrect texture. It has been my experience that dark green and black plastic interior parts are the easiest to find in good condition used.

The Brougham package was the luxury package on the Charger SE from 1972 to 1974. It included: -Cloth & vinyl seat with fold down center armrest, or vinyl bucket seats with plush carpet, or cloth & vinyl bucket seats with plush carpet. -Electric clock -Deluxe steering wheel with partial horn ring -Simulated wood-grained trim and soft trim -Padded door trim panels -Added sound insulation -Door pull handles BTW, has been stated since ever was luxury option package to SE model, but the fact is I got a a Brougham panel set coming from a Hardtop from Canada ( is the only one I have seen ever!!!! and is mine ) probably from some Spring Special ? dunno.

Seems I can't spell very well. should have been _heard instead of herd of Accuform. Spell check IS your friend unless of course your head is buried...... Oh well. Thanks ALOT now I know what I should be looking for! I had a beautiful 72 Vega I was with only 48,900 about 6 years ago. It was lime green metallic with a green interior. In those cars the green interior deteriorated VERY BADLY. I'm glad to know I have choices, black or green of parts to dye to have the right stuff. Does anyone at least make the upper door panels for a 74 SE brougham Tom sorry that you had to find out the hard way about Accuform and their bad quality. You would think that if they were going to something they would do it right. Instead of getting close and leaving it at that. It doesn't cost any more to do the right thing! They would sell more as well. #doh#

...DOES ANYONE AT LEAST MAKE THE UPPER DOOR PANELS FOR A 74 SE BROUGHAM... I haven't seen the SE Brougham upper panels with the inset panel for the pulls as a repro item yet...the only SE upper panels I've seen are the "angled" woodgrain trimmed ones.... BUT....HAVING SAID THAT:If you're not in any huge hurry and can wait until the end of July or the first part of August, I have a set of 73 SE Brougham upper panels I'll sell you... (see PICS below) I bought them back in the day before Nacho straightened me out on the 71-72's being different than the 73-74's (which I confirmed once the 73's arrived). I got them without door pulls and covers, but I have since acquired the pulls (and covers) and dyed them SEMS black (also pictured below)... The kicker is, I'm probably going to want more for the pulls than I am for the panels ....if you think the panels are hard to find, wait until you start trying to find the pulls (and their screw covers)!!! #Scope# #Scope# #Scope# 73 UPPER PANEL pic 1:UPPER PANEL pic 2:SEMS treated pulls on my 72 SE Brougham:I'm sorry, but I just don't have the time to deal with selling, packing, shipping, dyeing before we leave for Carlisle... Nacho rolls in one week from today, we leave one week from Thursday for Carlisle. The parts aren't going anywhere between now and August!! (I'm sure the 73's and 74's are identical....I'll confirm that with Nacho, though.) Let me know, Jer.
