The harasment you have to put up with for liking a winning team that did not have to cheat to win all those big shiny Rings

Having seen a beautifully restored '71 R/T this past summer in original Y3 (saw the fender tag) w/painted bumpers and full black top that gets my vote. Dummy me didn't get any pictures. I do have a pic of a '71 RR in Y3 w/black top though.

Yes, Pearls and candy colors are not good repairable colors. If I went white it will be spiniker white its the creamier white. I am not thinking that the Citron Yella is a color you don't see very often at all and it looks great when you brake it with black.

I love those pearl finishes! Looks pretty. But yes, not as repair friendly as some others.

Almost anything is better than the primer spotted mess it once was.

Update... I thought to ask my paint supplier what the cost of a quart of R/M Diamont base coat in Y3 Citron Yello... and also in W1 White... They called me back and told me a quart of W1 white base coat is $120.00.... and a quart of Citron Yella basecoat was $258.00 .. Big price difference... and I yellows don't normally cover well, so I am leaning towards the white...

Whoa! Thats a big price difference especially x 4. I usually go x 5 so there is a quart for later repairs. If you go yellow it would have to be over a yellow undercoat for sure. I haven't seen any kind of yellow whether single stage or bc/cc cover worth anything anymore especially on edges. You can't seem to pour enuf paint on them. There's something missing in the toners that is not EPA friendly. Reds are bad too. If you want to paint it Sikkens, I have a brand new $500 quart of some beautiful blue pearl I would give you for the price of shipping. Don't worry I didn't buy it. We swapped out mixing banks for a water based (yeck) system and I saved this from going into the waste barrel. Its new and never been opened. It's probably enough to do 3 cars but plenty to make that white sparkle. There's something you add to it to make it a midcoat for the tristage look. Best deal I can offer unless you want to do it red and then I have about 6 quarts of Dupont Chromabase basecoat in various reds from trying to match the non existent toners for a 1962 Impala interior that has about made me bald. I still vote to spend your money on the yellow.

Well,I am still leaning towards the Citron Yella.. but WOW!... I did call and get a price from my PPG paint vender... DBC is $210.00 a quart...But.... DBU I can get for $130.00 a quart I think the reason the DBU is cheaper is because they have an abundance of DBU toners..and they want to get rid of it because they are going water base.
