I'm about to sell my '71 Charger 500. I wanted to ask all the experts here what you think I can get for it. Feel free to ask me questions and I'll do the best I can to answer them...
It's a 1971 Charger 500 with a 383/700r4. The K frame was swapped in the front from what I know and it's originally a 318 car. The 383 and the 700R4 tranny are both rebuilt with 0 miles on them. The engine cranks and runs but I've had problems with it stalling out once it's hot. It has an 8 1/4" rear end AND a Clean title.
The engine has:
Edelbrock carb
Heddman shorty headers
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
stock inginition
Edelbrock chrome air filter housing
906 heads
Mopar Performance Valve covers
Brand new 3 core radiator
The rest of the car is mostly rust free except for on the trunk lid by the chrome molding and other than that it's pretty clean. I bought this car in Colorado by the way... not sure how well cars hold up out there.
It's got a front split bench, still the same green upholstery from the day it came out of the factory, pretty beaten up as far as seats go. I've got a nice rallye dash for it (not installed) and just recently put a black auto column in it to replace the mangled green auto column. It's got a B&M floor shifter installed, ready to go.
The interior and seats are pulled out. I have new black carpet (not installed) along with some factory style sound deadener (also not installed.)
Extra parts laying around....
-Richmond gear posi rear end. It's gathered a little rust from sitting in the box
-an entire front disk brake setup from a '73 a-body
-extra hood
-extra bumper brackets
-new fuel tank
-new Legendary Interior upholstery for front and back (black)
Here's my questions.... Will I make more by selling my new parts instead of grouping them with the car?
What's a preferred method of sale? Ebay, Craigslist, Car show?
What do you guys think?
