Thanks odzking... I'll have to research it a bit more.. also thanks tom... So here a question I was curious... or maybe you guys can point me in the right direction... how does someone decipher an NOS part?... like the ECU... NOTE 1st pic... I've noticed some of these Ecu's don't have the Chrysler stamp... and that the little silver piece doesn't say "RCA".. So what's NOS then... NOTE 2nd pic... is that also NOS? If so why no Chrysler stamp? Also does the silver thing have to say "RCA" on it? Sorry for all the questions.

One word of advise on the ECU. If you want to stay original looking I would suggest converting over to the 4 pin ECU. The 5 pin used to blow through double ballast resistors on occasion. Not saying they're no good, just keep an extra ballast resistor with you at all times. Chrysler Performance electronic conversion if you want to stay original. Plenty info out there. On my website too: www.retrorarities.com/EIconversion.htm

Ill keep that in mind, Thanks. The more i dig into this car the more annoyed i get. The ECU on there was a 5 pin and had a 4 prong ballast. I just looked at the distributor and the tag is 3874115 (27 6) and the date code i believe is from 76. Bleh.

Yeah, PO, particularly ones who just use it as a driver don't give 2 s**ts. The original set up is 5 pin ECU, 4 prong ballast. The new system is a little more dependable and uses a 4 pin ECU, 2 pin ballast. Although you can do what I did and use the 4 pin ballast but just one side. Looks original.

Looks nice odzking.... So heres a question. I am completely confused on whats correct. I was looking through the parts book and im trying to figure out the part numbers for the headlamps... Which is correct?
Hi beam - 3443176/7 hi lo beam RT - 3573784/5 hi lo beam LT - 3443174/5
Why does it list 6? I assume hi beam 3443176/7 is a left and right... but why 2 hi/lo rights and 2 lefts? Im confused.

I am a bit confused. By headlamps, I assume you mean the bulbs and there is no left and right. The lo-hi (outer) is 152600 or 5006 and 152285 or 5001. So are you talking about the headlamp seat or something else?

Sorry for the confusion. I meant headlamp assemblies. Im going through the complete list that makes up the front end starting from the body out to the grill. Already found the part numbers from the brackets and retainers,etc... Im stuck on the lamp assemblies...Theres the sealed lamps...Theres the headlamp buckets the trim rings and the headlamp adjustment What Im trying to figure out is the part numbers for the COMPLETE assemblies like this one that have everything already....

OK, first I would suggest going to my website and downloading the collision manual. Easier to read than the parts books and while not everything is in there, stuff like this is. www.retrorarities.com/1973-74ChargerCollision.pdfPart #s you're looking for are as follows: Seat, Outer - 3443124 (R) 3443125 (L) Inner 3443120 (R) 3443121 (L). Same thru 1970 prolly farther back far as I can tell, same with ring. Ring is 2449525 (all 4 the same). Spring 2445845 (4) and screw 3574085 (8)
