What's the difference between a 73 park lamp assembly vs a 74? 73 lists an assembly where as 74 doesnt list an assembly bur instead lists a housing separate from the lenses/gaskets.

The plug. I forget which one is a 3 prong, one a 2 prong plug. One year had an extra ground. They are a pain to get at or I would go out and look as mine is a 73.

So I can't use a 73 on my 74 then... 3587476/3587477 lists as 73.... I think a 74 would be 3478598/3478599? Is that right?

Lenses are the same all 71/74
Housings PN mostly sure changed PN just due the pigtail plug
71s uses the same rubber plug used on dist pickup coil 72/73 uses the T shaped plug with packard terminals ( 2 way ) On 74 the forward lighting harness got the radiator core support wiring arriving to the parking lights plugs ( earliers didn't), so then got a 3 way plug packard kind terminals, hence the parking lights were matching accordingly with a 3 way plug...HOWEVER ( at least on my 74 ) the parking lights pigtail didn't get this extra ground wire. Dunno if up there got them? My 74 parking lights plug got the cavity empty for that ground provision coming from harness. The fact is you can match the plug and use every 71/74 the same.
If you get a 72/73 parking light assembly just reinstall the 3 way plug your 74 got on them and done.
