I may have tips.... What brand are you installing? Legendary?
If you are installing PUI or PG Classic covers.....then the applicable tip is to return the covers now. LOL
If you are installing Legendary covers with buttons....you should know now that the buttons will come off with regularity in short order. Despite reproducing these covers for 25+ years now, they can't figure out how to source or make a button that will hold up.

Yes I am using Legendary interiors seat covers. I haven't figured out how to upload the picture's. I have taken quite a few so far.
I am doing one bucket at a time just in case I need a reference.
Started with the driver's seat. The most important one haha. I took it all apart and found a repair that I needed to do. ( Threaded tab that was tack welded on the seat top ) had broken off and was captured in the old seat cover. So I welded it back on. And put the seat frames in my (upgraded) harbor freight blast cabinet.
After a few hours they were all stripped and ready for paint. I took them into work (where we powder coat) and got them done in fresh black.
I ordered new seat foams from classic industry's. OER brand. Since the top section is split when they molded it, do i glue it back together so it becomes one whole piece?
I could explain better with pictures I'm sure. I also need to get hog rings.
Would Jo Ann fabrics carry those?

I've never done it with 2 piece foam, so I don't know for sure. But yes, I would think you would spray glue those two halves together. No instructions came with them? Hog rings... Tractor Supply Company

Sorry for the confusion. The seat top isn't 2 pieces. It's 1 piece but instead of the head rest area being a pocket that slips over the frame, it is a flap. I assume it's the way they molded it. I will take some pictures once I get home.
I need to buy some muslin to attach the seat bottom foam and cover up a factory repair that was made to one of the OER seat back foams.
Thank's for the tip. I'll look around locally for some hog rings. I should've just ordered them with the kit's from classic industry's.

Good looking parts Larry. I'm jealous!
I don't know...I'd guess that either way would be OK for the headrest, but I might still be inclined to glue it, just to help hold it in place while wrestling that cover into place.
Hopefully someone whose done these particular seats will chime in.
