Those are parking lights but that plug was exclusivelly used on 74s
71 used the rubber L shaped plug.just like the ones on electronic distributors
I think the harness itself is 74, because is the only year the ground was provided for the harness using this 3 ways plug ( parking, blinkers and ground ) rest of years just got two wires arriving to parking lights 71 as mentioned using a rubber L shapped plug and 72/73 using a 2 ways plug T shapped.

If 74 harness, you need to check and compare with your actual 71 harness because some wires were swapped around between engine harness and forward light harness allong 71/74... windshield washer, brake system warining lightt, starter motor trigger and can't recall what else.

that's a problem being that I don't have the original harness to compare with. Sounds like I might just have to replace it with a new harness from classic industries. Unless I can get a new plug all together for it?

firts, confirm the parking light plugs on your car. They should be these for 71: I meant they should get that plug because after 50 years you can find anything on your car. If they are like those, will need to find the plug for it. MAYBE some parts dealer got pigtails for it on the HELP section? can't tell. I can search on line. If you find them, is just about splice the pigtail on your harness. BUT being 74 getting an extra wire for ground reinforcement, you won't use that wire, just will use both positive signals coming from parking and blinker THAT's if you want a correct 71 setup IF NOT, you can also get this kind of conectors on both sides ( harness and parking light ) with new terminals, and will be matching the 72/73 setup THE NEXT OPTION... would be get the MALE end for the existant plug on harness and install it on your actual parking lights to match with what you already have ( 74 parking lights got these and even the harness provides a wired ground reinforcement its funny parking lights itself didn't got the wire LOL, but an empty cavity on the male 3 ways plug LOL ) all these plugs allong with terminals can be found here: www.texasindustrialelectric.com/_packard_terminals.aspthat's just ONE supplier of the many can be found around, can't tell their price or shipping charges. Search first at local suppliers. This is not a NASA kind of parts LOL. ASIDE THIS, you'll need to take care of the wiring indexing, being sure you get matching wiring between bulkhead being 71 and forward harness being 74. As I told, several wires position changed allong these all 4 years specially between engine harness and forward lighting harness. Usually light wires itself won't change, but the rest.

and if you want to build it up as a correct 71 setup, you can unwrapp the harness and remove the ground wire arriving to that plug on both ends, cleaning it up from non used wires. These wires arrive to the radiator core support ground eyelet terminal.
and if you don't want and preffer to buy a correct 71 harness, I can get that one from you LOL.... I have or had a correct 74 harness somewhere but couldn't find where is so had to build up one harness like 72/73 getting a 73 harness donor for my 74 LOL

ok traced wires are positives. solid blacks are ground on that harness
traced yellow is parking signal
traced tan and green ( as far I recal ) are left and right signals.
can't recall if parking light pigtail is also color coded. Will need to find which one is male and female on parking light end to match the high intensity blinkers and low intensity positioning lights coming from harness
