Alright. My plan is that if following the diagram that nacho sent me doesn't fix it. I don't I'll take out all of the wiring in the interior. Should I take out all of the wiring in the car?

Personally, I'd do a harness at a time.

I have read all the posts and it is quite a unique problem. If you have positive voltage on the chassis of the car where are you connecting the ground on your test light to? If you have a solid ground from the battery to the engine and from the battery to the chassis, you should be killing the battery, blowing fuses and melting wires if you have a short. If the grounds are solid its not physically possible to have both positive and negative at the same time on the chassis of the car. I have had some puzzles to solve in the past, you have a very interesting one here.

I did a little simulation that I thought might be helpful. I had to think about this for quite a while to figure out why it looks like you have voltage on the chassis of the car.

That is an awesome video thank you so much. Makes alot of sense. On my car the only ground is to the engine. There isn't one for the chassis. Ohh. So that's why it doesn't show that the engine has positive energy but the rest of the car does right?

Omg I added a wire as a ground and the lights are working. Omg I'm literally almost crying. Finally something is working. Thank you so much.

Lack of grounds or corroded grounds causes a host of problems. Cleaning the grounds is one of my first go to things to do when I have an electrical issue. Many years of repairing rusty snowplow trucks taught me that.

Well my car just doesn't have the grounds. The only one it has is the engine one but apparently it's supposed to have 3 more which is why nothing was working. Now there's actually things that work. For the first time in a year I've been working on it
