Well.... I wish you the best of luck with this. In the past, there have been at least 3 parties that claimed they were going to get these done or were looking into it. There is not doubt in my mind that they would be excellent sellers, particularly the front/center piece.

If and when the reproductions start, can you imagine what that will do to NOS. Gold diggers will have to find a new line of work.

OK, just as a point of interest here. I worked at a Dodge dealership (Sam Dell Dodge) in between regular jobs 1977 - 1979. I also had as some of you know a 73 SE that I purchased new. I replaced numerous body parts, several because of accidents and most because of rust before and after I worked at the dealership (in the parts dept I might add.) The bumpers were off and at one point I replaced all those rubber pieces, front and back as well as grilles and tail lamps. (I wish I had all that stuff now that I replaced because I could, not because it was broken). My point is, the replacement pieces were exactly as the originals in texture and color. Until they became NS1, they were always the same. Now, I am not saying you're wrong. But having said this - did they have different suppliers for different parts of the country and even different country's ?? ... can't speak on that, maybe. All I know is the depot we got our parts from which was New Jersey, all had the same stuff. Understood... I had more of the original style pieces myself. All I'm pointing out is there are different versions out there... At some point, a material change was made to the fillers. I've been designing automotive components for 25 years and I've made hundreds of changes to parts that were material only. Some changed the part number, but most did not because the new material did not affect fit or function. A supplier can not change material without approval from the customer (Chrysler in this case) otherwise the part will be rejected. I would question this too if I didn't have them in my hands to see. In this case, I did. Maybe Kevin B (WS23U1A) can back me up on this since I sold the car and parts to him... It was a long time ago, though. I'm not sure where i was when this thread was new, but better late than never...right? The only thing I recall from the NOS pieces I'd purchased from Bobby were the difference in color. There were some in silver & some that were a yellowish color. I'd assumed the yellow ones had simply not been painted silver. I didn't look close enough to notice if they were made from different materials, or if the silver pieces had been molded in color. I wish I still had them, so I could look more closely.

That looks like the same color as a rear '82 Cutlass Ciera bumper cover I had replaced. It was a GM original piece, just a neutral finish to be painted.

The weird thing about it is the color it's semi transparent. if you look close at the pictures you can see traces of the metal bracket thru the funky yellowey glodish colored plastic. It's still pretty flexible.
I saw this post and remembered that I had one of these in the attic, so I took a picture just for you guys. It's in perfect condition and I would be willing to loan it for the cause if it's needed for the molds.
