Will the "Big & Fat" bumperettes w/rubber inserts (from 73/74 Chargers) bolt up to my '72 front and rear bumpers to replace the "small and wimpy" ones? If not, what are the fitment issues that prevent said interchange from happening? Thanks for any info. Jer. No, not without modifing the holes. The 71/2 bumper guards mound in a slightly different location than the 73/4 bumper guards... MMMMM... are you sure about ?. rear valence cut out looks on same place, just diff size

Well, we're going to all know the answer to that by August 1st... My New Best Friend for the Week, Bob, is going to give me a full set, and I am going to mount them--or attempt to mount them, as the case may be--purely for research purposes!! And not to worry, the blue 440 SE does NOT have cutouts, the black 318 (soon to be 360) SE DOES have cutouts...so I can try them on both!! When I'm all said and done, we will ALL know the true and final Interchange Law on GIGA bumperettes vs 71/72 bumpers!! Oh, how I DO love this site!! (Hope Bob's cat is okay after Tom's visit!!)

MMMMM... are you sure about ?. rear valence cut out looks on same place, just diff size Its not a matter of location left/right, it a matter of angle of attachment on the bumper. The 71/2 holes are slightly lower on the bumper (if I recall correctly). Its just enough that the contour on the back side of the "other style" bumper guard will not fit properly. It's fixable....you'll just have to test fit, then adjust the hole location accordingly. If memory serves me (it's been a while) it's about a 1/2" difference.
