A lift is SUCH a nice piece to have. I have a 4 post for the new shop, but a 2 post to go with it would be nice! Maybe a low rise scissor lift instead.... Anyway, I did a lot of reading on lifts prior to purchase, and I know you would want to do the same. Three things I'll mention (and I won't turn this into a buy American )... #AmericanFlag1# Is that lift ALI Certified? www.autolift.org/What are the cement slab requirements for this 2 post? You might want to check out some of the lift-related posts here. There's a tab in the blue bar across the top for The Forum. www.garagejournal.com/And my final plug, for the brand of lift that I have... www.allamericanlifts.com/ #2Thumbs#

Have you considered shopping around for a good, used lift? In these harsh times, there must be some around for cheap.

Not sure who to agree with here Hydraulics are easily serviced: so used isn't a drawback at all

Have you considered shopping around for a good, used lift? In these harsh times, there must be some around for cheap. Exactly!! I got on the radio Tuesday and Wednesday for the radio yard sale and did a wanted. I got a call from a women who said she had one. Her husband bought it and she refused to let him install it. She did not want every Tom, Pete and Nacho coming over to use it. She said $800.00 It's a 7k lift. After work today I'm going to scope it out. Luckily it's on the way home. Bob
