Well, I took it apart 3 times so far. This morning I went over to my friends garage and looked at his. Doh...mine was in backwards. Took it apart and switched the poles. Good, now what? Went back over and measured the distance in from his bay door. Doh....mine need to go farther in by 2 feet. Took it apart and moved it. Good....now what? Once I got it moved the rafters were in the way. Ok, modified a little and now it fits. Now to mark the holes on the floor from the base plate. Good, now what? Had to take it apart again to move the posts off the spot where I have to drill. 12 holes need to be drilled. Doh...don't have a hammer drill. Gotta rent one. Got the wiring run and now I have to price everything I need to wire it. 1 30 amp circuit breaker for the house and one 30 amp double throw 220 for the garage. I also have to rig a safety for the safety bar because it's above the rafters. No big deal. I'm hopeing to have it going by this weekend. I have light work already lined with my buddy who operates a garage. One engine job, one trannsmission and he will give me brake jobs and oil changes. I am not going to occupy all my time in the garage just enough to keep me a little busy.

Update: The lady called and said she just spoke to her husband who is hunting in Texas and that all the items are in a box in the garage, including the roller. I will pick up all the odds and ends Thursday after work when he is home. What a good day.

Good progress Bob! Certainly a learning process to getting it set up correctly. And I'm glad she found those parts, too.

WOW! I'd love to have a garage that big and a ceiling that tall....Brian Thanks Brian. It took me 48 yeas to get one. It's only a 24 X 48 X 10. I am so glad I went overboard on the concrete. 6-8 inches thick. If it was standard 4" I would not attempt putting a lift in.
