Not as big as that pole barn of yours. I've always loved those buildings. Comes from growing up in central Illinois I guess.
Yes, I did build a 26x36 (936sq.) shop recently. But I still have a lot of work to do to get it usable. Right now, it's a pay-as-you-go deal, so it's progressing very slowly. With some luck (IE: continued employment and money) I hope to get an epoxy floor in there this summer, pull electrical and insulate/drywall before next winter. But that's a pretty tall order. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. As long as it's done when I retire.
And yes, I bought a used 4 post lift from a friend, for about the same money you paid to your lift.

Those 4 post are pretty cool. In my opinion a lot safer. I wired my own garage. Looks like a big spider web. My water to the sink is seasonal. When I dug in the electrical line I added in a 1/2" black plastic water tubeing. In the warmer months I conect it to a bib on the house and it supplies water to the sink. Cheap I know but I ony had to invest 40$ to have water. It all takes time and money, and more money, and more money. I had to borrow from my trip money to Florida to see my mom to get this thing. I'm hopeing to have it paid for in a month.

Well, I hope to do a lot of the electrical myself. I'm going to draw up a plan, and run it by a friend of mine back home, and my electrician here. I'll build the circuits, but my electrician will hook them up to the box (after he pulls cable through the burriied conduit and mounts/wires the breaker box, that is). That's aplan anyway.
I thought about water, but did end up taking any out there. A sink would be a great luxury to have.

Got a shower last evening. Bleeding the line that goes to the secondary ram, I thought it was all the way down. Well, it was not. All over my truck, my floor, walls and face. It even shot up my sleeve to my elbow.

Yikes. Be careful there Bob. Glad to hear you're progressing with it though.... Yea Dave, installing it was the easy part. Figuring out the cables is a little bit trickier. Also, I put in the WRONG hydraulic fluid. It suppose to have Dexron III auto transmission fluid. Sooooooooom tonight I have to flush the system and install the correct fluid.

Well that was not to bad. Drained and refilled, found the missing pulley mounted behind the one ram, routed the cables and badabing badaboom, it goes straight up and straight down. I'm in business now. Got a F/Ranger engine job coming in. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I can finally get my new 2 slice toaster off of layaway at WalMart.

Is there much more working room under a two post lift as to a four post lift?........it seems to me the two posts are much better for access under the car......and the four posts that I have seen are for mainly storage for two cars... whats your opinion?
