73 didn't have the hump in trunk (that would make a good rap song title ) for gas tank, only 74 did. Also 74 rear lower interior panels are different. yeah, posted already in an earlier reply ;D ( my first one on this thread )

How about windshield washer squirters? Wasn't moving them to the wiper arms a '74 thing or did that occur in '73?

74s had a seat belt interlock system where you couldnt start the car unless you had the seat belt on. Was this on every car, if so mine starts without having to have the seat belt fastened. I've had several 74's and never had to fasten my belt to start. I think most folks had the dealer or a mechanic bypass the interlock. I don't think it was a difficult fix, possibly just something to do with the seat cushion switch. (The one that senses someone sitting there, not the seat belt part of the circuit). Mine were always unplugged there. I'm pretty sure ALL american cars had the same crap on them in 74. My buddy's Camaro had the same "red button box" and I've seen others at cruises and car shows. The cool thing about 73 & 74's is that a lot of parts interchange with 76-79 B-bodies like Cordoba, Charger, Fury, etc. and those cars are usually cheaper to buy whole when you can find them. I miss my 74 Aztec Charger....

I think the gas pedals are smaller on 74's. Couldn't tell you why! Pretty sure the doors have an additional inner structure in them. Front bumper brackets might have additional bolts.

eeehm not really I think. Maybe just if you got the chromed bezel. Mine was without the chromed trim and made the change about 2 years ago to the chromed setup an all pedals I got NOS, and cromed setup was with smaller acelerator pedal. Dunno really if was really from newer model... PN was newer in fact, but dunno if was really a supersedes number.
Bumpers and all setup are really the same.
about inner frame on driver side... not sure, but I think that diff is between 71/72 and 73/74, not really between 73 and 74... will check further anyway on my 74 parts catalog ( 73 parts are listed if some diff on the collision extra catalog section )

I didn't see it mentioned but isn't the rubber on the bumper guards (or bumperettes) stick out about an inch or so more on 74's than the 73's. Also, rear window defogger (blower style on 73's) and rear window defroster (wired on glass style on 74's). The bezel on the rallye gauge cluster is also different (lighted icons next to headlight and w/w switches).

the electrical defroster was an extra option, but the blower was still available
icons on cluster by international requirements were already mentioned
and yes, forgot to mention the larger cushion on rear bumperettes, only mentioned the lower brace, but was earlier mentioned and quoted by me on first reply
