My expertise is with the 71-72 cars, so I'm still learning the 3-4 cars. The only differences I have noticed: 340 replaced by 360, the wierd hump in the trunk floor(?), the steering wheels, and I believe the front suspension is different. What other differences?

340 replaced by 360 the wierd hump in the trunk floor the steering wheels I believe the front suspension is different. Gas tank too, humped to gas tank vapor separator, and that's the reason for the humped floor. suspension JUST the lower ball joint... pressed instead threated on 74 The seat belts in 74 were different, they had a built in retractor. The bumper guards on 74s were longer than 73s. No cowl vents on the hood of 74s 74s had a seat belt interlock system where you couldnt start the car unless you had the seat belt on. 74s had icons on the gauge cluster. Retractors on shoulder belt, hidden by rear lower panel. Rear Lower panel. Frame where shoulder retractor goes bolted Underdas wiring harness Undercarpet harness for seats and belt buckles sensors All front belt including female ones. 74 does have sensors one females for a while 73 on retractor. Also 73 male terminals are different. Frame on sides of roof, since shoulder belt is bolted different. Gas tank straps... 74 is hooked on rear and bolted on front rear bumper guard lower braces. Engine harness Seat covers with different vinyl pattern coat hooks Horn relay Advertising buzzers ( lights, key and belts ) Note... some of these even different does NOT mean uninterchageable., well at least you can mount a 73 horn relay on a 74 and backwards, but if backwards, then you won't have ignition key in buzzer Note2: About interlock, canadian models are different and let you start the engine even with unfasten seatbelts, so control only works like the warning signals control unit

74s had a seat belt interlock system where you couldnt start the car unless you had the seat belt on. Was this on every car, if so mine starts without having to have the seat belt fastened.

The feds retracted the mandatory seat belt interlock in 75 and you could take your car to a dealer and have it bypassed.

There are few more things that are different. You are missing more differences.

73 didn't have the hump in trunk (that would make a good rap song title ) for gas tank, only 74 did. Also 74 rear lower interior panels are different.
