Thank you Hutch! The smarts go to my daughter. She is starting to wonder when she'll get her Sharpie back! I think I'll open my wallet & have her get 2 next time she asks!! It looks just as good as model car paint, so I won't document that. I hope to document the Bare Metal Foil method before this Fall. I predict it to be very tedeous & nonstock appearing - but well worth the trouble if only to see the results. I'm sure the nail polish is very hard & durable once dried. But: Yes! Nasty stuff. I'll pass on trying that. Post your pics of the nail polish results if you got em!!!!!!! It ain't my thread it's the Cluster Touchup thread! Oh I aint never using nail polish again. I went out last night and picked up a fist full of silver paint pens. I could not find the sharpies so I went with a pen that has a rattle ball in them. I was going to go back over some areas on my tail lights this weekend. Nail polish works pretty well if you use a small paint brush but that and the acstone you need to keep around gets to you after a while. This pen method is much cleaner looking I think.

Got 2 sets of gauge stickers off EBay. The add warned that they're more glossy than stock. I had hoped the lettering would be more crisp. One of the clusters needs dial faces - so I'll update soon.

Holy Gee Whilikers, Brock!! Are you starting a dash cluster restoration business on the side.. One might even be tempted to call that a true "Cluster#@%&," if one were the type to be of a cursing nature, which thankfully, I'm not!! What are you going to do with all of that, Brock? (...he said, as he tried to weasel out of finding the Infamous Loaner instrument cluster.) How much did you win the dress-up kits for?...or was it a Buy It Now kind of thing? Details, details, my Man! Jer.

I need a little pointing in the direction of where they are selling those Silver Sharpies and/or Paint Pens with the metal ball, Guys.
Are you getting them from a National brand store, like Rite Aid, or Walmart, or just where?
I've been looking, and so far no luck.
HELP!!

Has anyone used the white background overlays that this vendor sells? I know,I know, it is not an original look, but I kinda like them. It sure would brighten things up. If you have a cluster in rough shape like mine, why not? What do you guys think?
