Has anyone used the white background overlays that this vendor sells? I know,I know, it is not an original look, but I kinda like them. It sure would brighten things up. If you have a cluster in rough shape like mine, why not? What do you guys think? Not a Charger I know of as yet. It's a round gauge in a cluster...you see that in magazenes all the time. Why not go for it?! He IS a nice guy that takes care of business as well as Legendary or any other reputable source I actually thought about ordering a white set myself but knew that my eyes would not adjust to them. My idea of the perfect gauge would include backlit opaque numbers on a black face. To my eyes front lighting, even from the side, on any gauge face sucks at night.

Dear clueless, They can be aquired through Wal-Mart. If they don't have them in your store let me know and I will send you one. Bob Jer Joined: Aug 2007 Gender: Male Posts: 1,162 Location: Central CA, OK, & NC Looks like I will have to go back to my one word responses. Bob, thanks for the tip, I might be taking you up on that offer... as far as the post count goes: GIVE IT UP... My Post Count is really over 3000, since ALL of my posts are at least 3 times longer than anyone elses.. (AND 3 times the quality, I might add!!) #stirthepot# If you start slammin' a bunch of one word replies and/or smilies, I'm gonna have my Ol' Buddy Tom (you know him...the Co-Admin of this fine forum) start deducting two posts from your count for every short "Non-Quality Post" that you write!! (Would I still get my silver sharpie, Bob?)

Brock, I took your idea of using the silver paint pen on your culster and put my daughter to work on my rear tail lights. They turned out great! I then did the cluster but still have some work to do so i did not take any photos yet.

Roy has this idea to modify a cluster to include more gauges. I couldn't help but throw a quick pic together. What do you think? I Tweeked on the pic a bit. Tach moved left & original small pods moved up - at least its starting to all fit & grow on me alot! It's a great idea to me me Roy -even if starting from stratch might be the easiest way to pull it off.

Brock, you da man That's exactly what I was thinking of. Now if we just had a Star Trek replicator, we'd be done Is that a photoshop picture? It looks too real! That pic really makes me want to find a way to do it for real. You think it would be easier to use 2 rallye dash and cut/paste or make a mold of the existing upper 2 and form the lower ones from 'glass? Any ideas from anybody would be appreciated. Thanks, Roy

As stated here there n yonder, this idea of Roys' has really grown on me: nothin about this suggestion - just thinking out loud. A chopped fibre glass sprayer, with suitable release agent, could make short work of making the mold pieces. A cutoff wheel to join the parts together in preparing for a mold for a new cluster face made from chopped fibreglass sprayer should make this part come together in short order too. Of Course the fun part is now making a custom backplane - at least it isn't a printed circuitboard type at least where the connections are concerned! A smooth finish with real Rosewood steamed into the contours & stained / finished properly will make the factory guys jealous! Unfortunately, I have none of these tools at my disposal Any ideas?
