In another thread, I was reminding members that non-3rd Gen Charger threads ARE ALLOWED here. They must be posted in the Gearhead's Garage area, and must meet the posted definition of: "Think of this board as the gathering place for all "car guys" to discuss anything related to vehicles OTHER THAN 3RD GENERATION CHARGERS...basically anything with wheels and a motor--that DOES NOT pertain to 1971-1974 Dodge Chargers--goes in here". I would consider anything to do with your garage/shop as fitting in here as well. So with that in mind, I thought I'd post a bit about this project...my '77 Cordoba. It's a 38k mile original, but in need of resto. It Has Issues! Formal Black Sunfire Metallic, black leather bucket seat interior and black Halo top. It's been in our family since new. First thing is the radiator. It split many years ago, which is when it was parked. So I'd like to get that pulled and re-cored, if the area shop that I want to use is open through current events.

Do you have a recore shop near you? Not many around. There is one near me, Detroit Radiator I believe. In the same industrial drive as International Strippers (chem strip/e-coat).

Looking at that interior makes me miss my 78 Magnum ... loved the interior on that car.

Thanks guys. I do love the interior. Like the Trans Am and Charger, I have collected a lot of parts for the Cordoba over the years. The buckets need very slight seam repairs (a spot where all B-body buckets fail), and I have a factory floor console in black, '75 floor shifter (that while not marked as such, but is actually a Slap Stik shifter), and a floor mounted cassette player that I want to convert. And a factory tach for the dash too. But yes, the interior is in very nice shape and doesn't "need" much at all. The outside is another story!
There is a shop that a co-worker has refereed me to. I'll post more about that when I get there and the work is done. But as I understand it, this business is also about to close, with the owner retiring. Another reason for me to hurry.
Hank, I have an extra set of those buckets somewhere, but the leather is shot. They were part of a lot purchase of Cordoba parts up in Canada many years ago. Went for a narrow (dual exhaust) gas tank, came home with a van FULL of parts! LOL Made for an interesting border crossing, pre-9/11.

I dig the interior but - where are the screens?! I really love the 70's time machine cars. So far the twenties blow! I give the whole 21st century two .

Touch screens? No. But there 11 buttons and controls you can touch, if that helps.

I can't play Mario Kart on that!
Is that the adjustment knob for the driver's side mirror next to the radio?

Close but no. Passenger side. My parents had a '78 Fury wagon with a remote passenger mirror. It also featured a Am/Fm Cassette with built in CB radio! I thought that was so sweet when we traveled. The radio would cut out when you received or made a broadcast.

That is correct. The driver's remote is on the door. That is for the passenger's side mirror.
A friend of mine who is into Dodge Magnums has several of the AM/FM/CB setups. A very cool period piece.
