This is the perfect explanation, I really appreciate that and makes sense. I did use a bit of fogging oil in the cylinders and even turned the crankshaft pulley a bit as I installed the waterpump. Thing seemed to move (slightly of course).
Again, thank you all for the help on this. I just want to ensure I don't muck anything up and do it right the first time. As I mentioned, I have very basic knowledge of this stuff but find myself learning quite a bit during this process.

Question for you all. How difficult is it to install a new power brake booster with master cylinder. The current one is really corroded.

being just one person is better install both separatelly. But if you have a helper, you can install them in one step both together.
the harder part is get down the dash and conect the rod to the pedal linkage. For the nuts to the booster studs, will need the rachet, socket and extension... and maybe even better with a cardan for some of the locations

Cool, thanks for the heads up on that. For now, I'll just focus on getting it started. But the booster and cylinder will be next.

This weekend is when I turn the key. A bit nervous but things seem in place and should turn over without any issues (I hope). Putting in new battery and pumping out the old fuel, then add new are the last steps. Fingers crossed!

Ok....sadly, she didn't turn over. I'm attaching a link to a video I did of the process and maybe one of you may know what's happening or what the culprit might be? I'm assuming electrical?
Brand new battery, but the lights, etc on the dash that did work seemed VERY sluggish, almost like an old battery was in.

...also, one thing that did use to happen when I would drive it regularly in the later 90s. If I would be driving at night, about 20 mins or so into driving the headlights would turn off and on (quite scary while driving on the highway) like the same pattern as the turn signal.
