Chin spoiler probably was designed for racing to keep air from getting under the car and hold the front down, at high speeds cars have been known to come off the ground and that makes for a bad day at the races. The one on my car along with hood scoop and wing were on it when I got it. From the time I was a little kid I thought wings, scoops and such were cool probably because I love military aircraft and they share those things so I haven't been in a hurry to take them off. Funny you put it that way - I've been thinking lately about the kind of cars I used to draw when I was a kid. They had to have the chin spoiler, the wing, the louvers over the rear window. Cragar SS in front and Slotted mags in back. It must have been a trend at the time, I remember seeing a few cars in books and magazines with that set up. I also remember drawing the triple opera window a lot. I had my Charger for 23 years before realizing it was what I was drawing as a kid, which is even stranger since there was only nine years or so between drawing the third gen Charger and having one.

Blowers? We got blowers... What kind of power does that make? It's good to see someone willing to throw that kind of $ at the third gen.

Yes, chin spoiler is functional No, R/T louvers are not. What are the benefits of the chin spoiler? Maybe not same numbers for the stock piece, but sure must help Chin and deck lid spoliers number tests

That is impressive. I can't recall ever seeing a rear spoiler on a NASCAR Charger. When I see Go wings they are usually tilted up which makes me think they are creating lift instead of eliminating it, but they could have negative pitch relative to the airflow coming over the car. But they don't look functional. They also look like they need to be a foot wider to fit the Charger.

... They also look like they need to be a foot wider to fit the Charger. I think the correct Gull wing fits pretty well and blends with the curvature of the rear quarters. Any longer and you'll have problems with the ends catching on stuff. I occasionally catch things on the tips of mine as it is. My car cover did fit although very tightly around the back end. Any longer on the wing and the car cover would need modifications... The Go wing looks okay but I don't think it's as good a match to the body lines of the Charger with the sharp angle where the tips turn down. And I believe the Go wings were also used on mud stains Mustangs, so there's that.

charger440sixpac - Hmm, was there a narrower gull wing for the Challenger? I remember seeing a narrower wing with the same tip style as the gull wing.
I'm usually pro-spoiler but I have a hard time believing either wing is functional. I'm willing to be proven wrong.
