Here is the switch/light in my car... photos.app.goo.gl/F8e9Y6BZTvZvr3EP9
It is the same setup as I had in my 72 Gold Duster- build date May 1972.
My car has the small chrome seat button you mention...

I had read about the pros/cons of slotted and/or drilled rotors. Sounds like the biggest advantage can be driving in rain... and we all know... THAT ain't gonna happen! This puppy don't go out in the rain!
I THOUGHT that idler pulley was serviceable. I even had a replacement for the local parts house that was supposed to work. Well, I was wrong! You CAN remove the pulley from the bracket, but as far as I can tell, that's as far as you get. There was no way to remove bolt/bearing from the pulley. I THOUGHT I would be able to get the dust cover off the front, and that would allow me to get that booger out of there... but that cover is welded in place and it ain't coming off! So, instead of banging on it with a hammer to see how far I could get with it, I just put it back on the car till the new one gets here that I ordered. So unless someone else knows some magic about being able to service this pulley, it certainly seems to me that it's a "replacement only" situation.
I don't really even understand why the big block is set up with 4 belts and this goofy pulley. The fan and the power steering both get their own dedicated belt... but small blocks had one belt running both those items.
Also, the distance between the alternator and the AC is such that there should have been an idler between them to keep the belts from bouncing so damn much when the AC was on... kinda like the set up on 460 Fords. However, I feel that if I finally decide to replace the compressor, I will do so with a Sanden and there won't be any more belt bounce after that. Last year, I replaced the York compressor on my 77 F150 with the 351M. It, too, had AC belt bounce that drove me crazy. Had a Sanden compressor installed, and wow... the only way I knew that thing was running was by hearing the "click" when the clutch engaged! I couldn't even tell that the engine slowed down any!

I will have to take a look at my setup on the hazard switch as mine is a Nov build car. Never paid attention. Now wondering if I should stock pile a switch just in case. I probably should replace my headlight switch cause the dimmer reostat doesn't work well. You could try removing the headlight switch and spraying something in there like DeoxIT Gold in the rheostat . I think that would help some. I use that on my vintage television restorations... works wonders on the convergence controls in the back of the set. Since those controls only get turned at the factory, and then later if the set gets serviced, they kinda get in bad shape after 60 years of sitting still. This stuff really cleans and lubes them up nicely.

You can find it in many electronics parts stores. I just recently sprayed some in my Charger's radio pots... sure made a difference.

yeap... some later 74s got an iddler pulley mounted on A/C compressor bracket to sabe that slapping due the large distance between Alt and compressor. Is not for adjust, just to save the slap. These get a wider A/C compressor bracket to provide the support for this. ( your pic links are not working )

Really? Dammit this is such a pain in the a$$! I already had to change the links once because it turned out to be the wrong pics. I did, notice a few times I had to click on the links more than once for it to show up. I wish they made this more simpler!

One of the pics ai have is the earliers vs laters collar side by side... and the plastic filler plug used when the light was not optioned. Damn! I love that blue interior... that was my car original color interior too but found a full white setup for my car in a trade ( my blue interior was in bad conditions ) and decided to change it. I likes A LOT also white interior

IF you find the setup ( that's the hard part ). I have pics of the brackets... but once again, waiting for the hosting service mantenience. BUT the front AC hose may or may not disturb with the pulley. These cars with pulley got a diff hose setup for the front hose with the reservoir ina different position. but... I think the front AC line runs to driver side on 71/72... right ? so you shouldn't have a problem then.
