Now....on to get the 3rd car. The Big Block 4 speed 73 Roadrunner.
I bought it for the roof/cowl. But after some thought... I think it's too rare too just hack up.
Most likely scenario... I am going to scrap the initial plan, get rid of the 71 Charger with roof/cowl issues...and keep the 73 RR. I can only keep so many. Does not make any sense to cut up a BB 4 speed car, to save a 318 car, when the 4 speed car is in better shape. But I really did not look at the 73 RR closely.......only from a "parts perspective" Most of the big $$$ items have already been removed from the car.

RE the DORF: Where's the color matched camper shell, and how did you get around Mrs. Tom's pre-mature removal of the plate and turning it back in to Georgia DMV....or did I misunderstand you?? (Feel free to delete, if I'm out of line, Tom)..... Meanwhile, I think it makes an EXCELLENT JunkYard Dawg transportation vehicle...as long as you fix that air conditioner before next summer!!....... P.S. Good call on saving the big block RR.

Jer, I had it re-tagged and insured within a couple days of her turning in the tags.
I still have the camper shell, but it is white. It's sitting in the back yard. I have had it off for a long time, since the DORF is only used for hauling junk these days.
I fixed the A/C last year, a couple weeks before I got the Dodge Ram from you. Anticipating a possible need to drive it to Carlisle, I fixed it.

You made fast work of that Charger, Tom. I'm glad you were able to save what you needed, and get the rest gone.
Also very glad to hear you are saving the RR. The world needs more factory 4 speed cars!

Turns out that the 73 RR is pretty much toast. I will post up some pics as I get a chance. When we looked at it the first time, my interest was mainly in the roof and cowl. Turns out that they are the only decent sheet metal on the car. I did manage to overlook a small rust hole in the firewall too. It obviously lived it's life in an area that salted the roads. 1/4's are shot, wheel wells are toast, all the floor pans, torsion bar cross member, one inner fender, radiator core support.... All the bolt on sheet metal, with exception of the hood is either significantly rusted or damaged. And I have not even jacked it up to look at the frame rails, or looked inside the trunk. The car sits low on the passenger side, so I did take a peak underneath it last night to see the rotted T bar cross member and large sections of carpet hanging thru the floor boards. Given what I am seeing in other areas, I won't be surprised to see significant frame rail issues. When I went to put air in one of the tires......it leaked out of a rust hole in one of the wheels! Could it be saved? I suppose it could be. But it would be a huge project and a large expense. There are no 1/4's made for the car, so a rust free donor car would have to be sourced. Without having the original engine/trans and all the missing parts, it's way more than I want to deal with. The only pleasant surprise .......there is a defogger unit in the trunk, the passenger mirror is 71-72 style, and an AM/FM radio still in the car.
